Affordable Housing Leasing Consultant

📍 Middle River, MD | 💲 $20–$21/hr | Contract-to-Hire | Immediate Start

Are you an experienced Leasing Consultant with a strong background in Affordable Housing? BGSF is seeking a dedicated professional with hands-on experience completing LIHTC and/or HUD certifications and recertifications to join one of our valued property management clients in Middle River, MD.

Your Role:

As a Leasing Consultant, you will play a vital part in ensuring compliance with affordable housing programs while maintaining high occupancy and excellent resident relations. You’ll be responsible for guiding applicants through the leasing process, processing income verifications, and accurately completing all certification documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the leasing process from inquiry to move-in for affordable housing units
• Complete and verify initial, annual, and interim certifications/recertifications for LIHTC and/or HUD programs
• Maintain accurate and compliant resident files in accordance with program guidelines
• Conduct property tours and assist prospective residents with applications
• Support daily office operations and ensure a professional resident experience

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1–2 years of affordable housing experience
• Direct experience completing LIHTC or HUD certifications/recertifications (required)
• Strong knowledge of Fair Housing regulations
• Excellent communication, organization, and computer skills
• Experience using property management software (RealPage or OneSite a plus)
