A mission-driven real estate organization with a strong presence across the U.S. is seeking a Community Manager to oversee one of their residential properties. Your new role
• Oversee day-to-day operations of a residential property, ensuring compliance with all relevant housing regulations (HUD, Fair Housing, ADA, etc.).
• Prepare for and respond to audits and inspections, including REAC, MOR, and LIHTC reviews.
• Manage tenant relations, addressing requests, concerns, and lease compliance issues.
• Monitor rent collections, arrears, and legal proceedings related to delinquencies or lease violations.
• Supervise maintenance operations and coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs and renovations.
• Conduct regular unit inspections and building walk-throughs.
• Collaborate with construction teams on ongoing projects and ensure timely access and compliance.
• Attend monthly financial meetings and assist in budget monitoring and reporting.
What you'll need to succeed
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in property management or a related field (hospitality, retail, etc.), including team supervision.
• Experience with affordable housing programs and HUD compliance.
• COS or CPO certification required; TCS certification preferred.
• Familiarity with EIV and Yardi systems.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
