We're seeking a skilled Construction Estimator specializing in demolition and excavation projects to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial demolition and excavation projects using PlanSwift software.
- Prepare and submit change orders, ensuring compliance with project specifications and budgets.
-Participate in job walks to assess site conditions, scope of work, and potential challenges.
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to develop competitive bids.
- Analyze blueprints, site plans, and specifications to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, revisions, and project data for reporting and auditing.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in construction estimating, takeoffs, and change order submittals, with a focus on commercial demolition and excavation.
- Proficiency in PlanSwift estimating software is required.
- Strong understanding of Southern California construction regulations, permitting, and industry standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven setting.
