The Opportunity:

As a Content & Social Media Specialist at OBI, you will write, publish and optimize content across multiple platforms and formats. This hybrid role spans social media, content marketing, ad copywriting and strategic support for research and brand messaging. You’ll manage day-to-day social content for select clients while contributing to broader campaign and messaging development efforts. What You Will Do:

  • Social Media Content Creation : Write, schedule and publish long- and short-form social media posts for agency clients across multiple platforms. 
  • Copywriting & Conceptualization : Write persuasive ad copy, headlines and CTAs across paid and organic channels. Actively participate in Creative team conceptualizations on assigned projects.
  • Content Writing : Write clear, compelling long-form content—including blogs, articles, landing pages, and email copy—that aligns with client goals, brand voice, and audience needs.
  • Brand Development: Assist in shaping audience personas, pain points and voice/tone profiles using internal and external research. Develop and refine brand messaging, tone of voice and campaign copy based on defined strategy.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Social Media, Content, Public Relations, Creative, Insights and Accounts teams to plan, develop and implement strategies and messaging across a wide range of agency projects and initiatives.
  • Measurement: Recognize and monitor key metrics important to clients’ and OBl’s overall success and assist with reporting as needed.

  • Versatile Writer: You’re experienced at crafting content across multiple formats: short-form social posts, blogs, emails, websites and ad copy.
  • Brand-Driven Storyteller: You have a strong understanding of brand voice and the ability to write with clarity, personality and persuasion.
  • Social Media Savvy: You are familiar with multiple social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) and know how to craft content that resonates with each audience.
  • Strategic Thinker: You know how to turn strategy, research and insights into messaging that connects with specific audiences.
  • Detail-Oriented Executor: You’re able to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Collaborative Communicator: You enjoy working with cross-functional teams and know how to move work forward through input and iteration.
  • Curious Learner: You stay on top of trends in marketing, content and social media—and bring fresh ideas to the table.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field preferred
  • Experience: 1-3 years’ experience working in social media
  • Bonus: Familiarity with social media tools for publishing, monitoring, social listening and reporting (HeyOrca, Canva, SproutSocial, etc.)
