Creative Director Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic, strategic, and forward-thinking Creative Director to oversee an in-house creative division for a nationwide consumer services organization headquartered in Virginia Beach, VA . This position is 100% onsite and requires relocation to Virginia Beach, VA. Relocation support will be provided.

As the Creative Director, you will define and guide the overall creative direction for campaigns and brand initiatives across multiple platforms, including digital, print, advertising, video, and more. You will lead, motivate, and grow a multidisciplinary creative team—spanning designers, writers, videographers, photographers, CGI specialists, and other talent—to deliver original, unified, and impactful work that advances company objectives.

Creative Director Responsibilities:

  • Shape, implement, and uphold the creative strategy and vision for assigned projects, ensuring brand consistency and innovation across deliverables.
  • Direct, support, and coach creative staff, fostering collaboration, professional growth, and high-performing outcomes.
  • Manage the creative lifecycle from concept and ideation through execution and delivery, including oversight of schedules, budgets, and resources.
  • Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure creative solutions align with organizational priorities and evolving market trends.
  • Evaluate and authorize creative assets such as advertising campaigns, digital platforms, brand initiatives, and multimedia materials for quality and impact.
  • Introduce improvements that enhance workflows, processes, and team productivity.
  • Collaborate with internal leaders to pitch and execute fresh, innovative ideas for new business opportunities.
  • Drive innovation to raise the bar on creative excellence across the organization.
  • Identify process efficiencies within creative operations to optimize output.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage corporate video production efforts.

Creative Director Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of senior-level creative experience within a B2C, national, and multi-location company required.
  • At least 5 years of proven team leadership and management experience required.
  • Strong ability to inspire, communicate, and influence both internal teams and external partners.
  • Expertise in video production and the development of integrated video campaigns across channels.
  • Demonstrated success leading projects involving CGI, motion graphics, and 3D design.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, After Effects, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
  • Familiarity with digital asset management and project management tools (e.g., Asana, OpenReel, Brandfolder).
  • Ability to merge creative innovation with business priorities, including resource planning and budget oversight.
  • Track record of successfully managing multiple creative projects at once.
  • Experience thriving in high-energy environments with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of branding, design systems, and integrated marketing strategies.
  • Demonstrated success leading high-impact creative campaigns.
  • Experience building employer branding and supporting internal culture initiatives.
  • History of mentoring and developing creative professionals for long-term career growth.
