Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and/or industrial settings. You will be responsible for ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with all applicable codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, and control equipment.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot electrical systems and components.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety standards.
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other electricians on job sites.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices.
- Provide mentorship to apprentices as needed.
- Complete work orders, reports, and other documentation accurately and on time.
Qualifications:
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License (state-specific requirement).
- Minimum of 4 years of electrical experience under a licensed electrician.
- Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
