Job Description

Are you passionate about hands-on electrical work and supporting cutting-edge automotive technology? Join our Electrical Hardware team as an Engineering Lab Technician , where you’ll work side-by-side with engineers to bring prototypes to life and support the development of electronic control modules and testers.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

  • Rework electronic components (soldering/desoldering)
  • Prototyping with oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and power supplies
  • Perform diagnosis, rework, and repair of ECUs, PCBs, and test equipment
  • Build and debug test setups including electrical, mechanical, and software aspects
  • Analyze complex schematics and drawings to identify and resolve issues
  • Document evolving test and assembly processes
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to provide high-level technical support
  • Conduct root cause analysis to improve tester performance and reliability
  • Fabricate test boards and solder components as small as 0204
  • Maintain organized lab workspaces and implement process improvements

Must-Have Skills

  • Proficiency with:
  • Analog & Digital Multimeters
  • DC Power Supplies
  • Oscilloscopes
  • Wiring Harnesses
  • Desoldering Tools
  • Certificate in Soldering (IPC-610, J-STD-001, or similar preferred)

💼 Qualifications

  • 8+ years of technician experience in electronics or engineering labs
  • Technology/Technician degree or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and low-voltage safety
  • Proficient in using voltmeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum/network analyzers
  • Experience working with CAN networks
  • Solid communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • EV (Electric Vehicle) experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); Jira is a bonus
  • Leadership skills and ability to train junior technicians
