Grade 7 (Salaried). Position Description: The University of Louisville is seeking to hire an Events Specialist III in the department of Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement (PAE). The Events Specialist III for UofL Health will oversee efforts for fundraising and engagement events for UofL Health, and work to build a comprehensive philanthropic events program for the UofL Health system. This includes event coordination, vendor engagement and solicitation, and other related special events activities. They will work with a team of fundraisers and related staff, UofL Health leadership and members of the board of the UofL Health Foundation. They will work with minimal supervision and are responsible for planning, researching, problem solving and performing special projects as assigned. They must be able to function independently, organize, prioritize, work well under pressure, and deal effectively with all levels within and outside of the organization. They will coordinate fundraising events (including associated fundraising activities), cultivation and stewardship events, events connected to special appeals and campaigns, and other ongoing events. This position reports to Assistant Vice President of Philanthropy for UofL Health and works in direct collaboration with the Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement (PAE) events team. Duties & ResponsibilitiesOccasional nights and weekends will be required to attend events in support of the unit initiatives and/or to complete tasks. Occasional in-state and regional travel may be required.
