 FLEXIBLE ENDOSCOPE REPAIR TECHNICIAN

About the role:

Surgical Direct is currently looking for an experienced  Endoscope Repair Technician ! Under the direction of the Clinical Operations Team Leader the Endoscope Repair Technician performs repairs on flexible endoscopes. This role requires an elevated level of flexible endoscope knowledge and related instrument knowledge, as well as repair experience and expertise, ensuring consistent high-quality, and timely repairs.

Successful candidates for this position will be responsible to:

• Repair flexible bronchoscopes, gastroscopes, colonoscopes and duodenoscopes.

· Assess customer and company owned devices by evaluating, documenting, and diagnosing condition, functionality, and cosmetic appearance of incoming flexible endoscopes.

• Provide high quality and cost-effective repairs in a timely manner and without direct supervision.
• Perform large diameter repairs including complete overhauls.
• Repair, refurbish, recondition, or replace missing or worn parts of flexible endoscopes to OEM specifications.
• Perform all repairs for Large Diameter Olympus 160,180,190 series (I/T Replace, L/G Replace, E/C Rewire etc.)

· Understand and accept the responsibility to ensure the safety of all endoscopy products that are repaired by following established processes and procedures.

• Consistently and effectively meet or exceed repair deadlines.
• Maintain a good attendance record and work the hours needed to meet company goals.
• Provide high quality and cost-effective repairs in a timely manner.
• Regularly communicate anticipated repair completion dates
• Maintaining a clean, well-organized work environment.

· Follow all safety policies and procedures.

• Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications Required / Experience

· Flexible Endoscope repair experience

• Superior mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Acute attention to detail and an aptitude for analyzing and solving problems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while keeping safety and service paramount.
• Maintain a professional demeanor.
• Previous Olympus endoscope experience preferred.
• Knowledge of parts, tools, and adhesives
• Actively participate in continuing education and training of self and team members
• Endoscopy technician certification in endoscopy technology or be certified from a surgical technology training program is a plus (not required)

Physical Demands: Working Conditions:

• This is an indoor-based position located in a repair facility with Air Conditioning. 
• Capable of using both hands to manipulate instruments, tools, and machinery Required to sit, stand, and walk as part of the daily routine.
• Vision correctable to 20/20 with full color spectrum recognition is required to discern small variances in measurement, material, and quality.
• Use of Microscope for extended time
