Job Summary: As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and assisting guests with their inquiries, check-ins, and check-outs during the evening hours. This position requires exceptional interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various administrative tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Check-in and Check-out: Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor during check-in and check-out processes. Ensure accuracy in guest information, reservations, and payment processing.

Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and courteously. Offer assistance and information about the hotel's amenities, local attractions, and services.

Reservations Management: Handle guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications efficiently using the hotel's reservation system. Ensure accuracy in room assignments and rates.

Cash Handling: Process guest payments accurately, maintain a balanced cash drawer, and handle all financial transactions following established procedures.

Security and Safety: Monitor the hotel's entrance and common areas to ensure the safety and security of guests and property. Report any unusual activities or incidents to the appropriate authorities or management.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, payments, and room availability. Generate reports as needed and communicate effectively with other hotel departments.

Problem Resolution: Address and resolve guest issues or complaints promptly and professionally. Collaborate with management to ensure guest satisfaction.

Teamwork: Collaborate with other hotel staff members, including housekeeping and maintenance teams, to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Compliance: Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards to maintain a high level of service quality and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or front desk role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using hotel reservation and property management systems (PMS) is a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
