Job Description

Salary: $85,200 - 110,000 per year Requirements:

  • Over 10 years of experience in the Building Technology sector, particularly within the Security domain focusing on design, engineering, and pre-sales roles in reputable organizations.
  • Strong grasp of systems and equipment, with expertise in innovative solutions that distinguish our offerings.
  • In-depth knowledge of Johnson Controls products across various segments of the building industry.
  • Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving capabilities, along with strong communication and presentation skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in PC applications.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in mentoring and coaching sales and pre-sales teams.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations, certifications, and standards.
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the capability to handle multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a matrixed organizational structure.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee GCOE Operations while acting as a Technical Advisor to the Sales Team.
  • Provide client-facing support to improve the sales process.
  • Collaborate with engineers to boost sales success and strategic planning.
  • Partner with local sales representatives and managers to nurture client relationships and integrate with the commercial team.
  • Conduct weekly analysis of the sales pipeline alongside the sales team.
  • Align technical support in pre-sales to craft effective strategies.
  • Ensure delivery of results, quality, and value in your designated territory.
  • Leverage GCOE resources to fulfill operational goals.
  • Take charge of strategy development and achievement of key metrics and KPIs.
  • Manage capacity across multiple teams.
  • Develop and implement training and upskilling initiatives.
  • Maintain control over KPIs and ensure the proper cadence for operations reviews.
  • Lead engineering solutions during the pre-sales phase, providing cohesive end-to-end offerings.
  • Supervise technical procurement processes for cost-efficient solutions.
  • Identify potential risks and devise mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate system designs and collaborate with architects and construction managers.
  • Create and present materials to customers in partnership with the sales team.
  • Provide expert advice for high-value or complex projects.
  • Engage with customers and consultants effectively.
  • Support the sales team in product and service assessments, analysis, and presentations.
  • Scout for new business opportunities and contribute strategic insights on sales tactics.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
