As a Maintenance Associate, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our Garden Center, ensuring a pleasant experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Garden Center, including walkways, parking lot, and container courtyard
• Ensure accurate pricing and labeling of fountains, statues, and other products
• Assist in unloading and loading delivery trucks, and moving products to designated areas
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as removing weeds, broken branches, and dead plants
• Keep equipment and carts in good working condition
• Build and maintain product displays, ensuring an attractive presentation
• Assist customers with loading purchases into their vehicles
• Support all Garden Center departments with daily tasks and projects during slow periods

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Successful completion of on-the-job training
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to operate equipment such as golf carts, loaders, and forklifts
• Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions
• Knowledge of company products, services, and customer-related policies
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
• Ability to work weekends and holidays
• Capable of prolonged periods of standing, walking, stretching, bending, climbing ladders, kneeling, and pulling
• Comfortable with repetitive movements over long periods of time
• Team player with a dependable attendance record
• Must be 17 years of age or older
