Position Overview

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented GIS Analyst to support our gas and electric extension projects. This role will primarily focus on GIS research to identify new participants in extension projects and ensure accurate, timely processing of related documentation. Additional responsibilities include creating and processing RFPs in SAP, managing returned checks, and generating monthly reports. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, resourceful, and able to operate independently with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily GIS research to identify and map new gas/electric extensions and connections.
• Run and review monthly reports (150+ accounts), closing or updating as needed.
• Create RFPs for customer refunds and process them in SAP.
• Investigate and resolve returned checks, including updating addresses or coordinating with AP Accounting.
• Document research and updates in GIS and ETP systems.
• Respond to ad hoc extension-related inquiries as needed.

Qualifications:

Required

• 2–5 years of professional experience working with GIS.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, charts, reporting).
• Strong problem-solving ability and comfort working independently.

Preferred:

• SAP experience, particularly with RFP creation and processing.
• Prior experience in utilities or energy industry.
• Familiarity with ETP systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
