We are hiring in behalf of Harris Media and w e’re looking for a Graphic Designer/Video Editor who can bring both visual creativity and motion graphics expertise to our digital media projects. Specifically, we need someone with experience designing websites, digital ads, video content, and social media graphics.
An ideal candidate for this multimedia designer role would also have After Effects knowledge or experience creating animations/GIFs in Photoshop. Experience leading creative direction for graphic design and branding is a plus.
Please note: Only candidates who submit a portfolio of design and/or video work will be considered for this role.
Qualifications
● Ability to design professional graphics and websites (experience as a Web Graphic Designer is a plus)
● Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS capabilities as it pertains to web design
● Solid understanding of typography and graphic design principles
● Knowledge of After Effects and how to create motion graphics
● Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly with account executives
● Ability to balance multiple projects at once
● Basic UX knowledge as it pertains to websites
Responsibilities
● Design and create visually engaging graphics and video content using Canva and other various editing softwares
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop branding and marketing materials
● Apply color theory and typography to maintain strong brand consistency across projects
● Lead projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with UX principles and web design best practices
● Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative design techniques into projects
Preferred Qualifications
● Strong working knowledge of HTML and CSS
● Experience designing HTML5 ads using Google Web Designer (Digital Ad Designer experience)
● Experience filming video or photography (Video Content Editor experience)
● Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects
● Familiarity with Sketch, Adobe XD, and/or Figma
● Experience using Webflow
● Experience working for Republican or center-right campaigns or advocacy groups
