Job Description

Acceler8 Talent is seeking an experienced Hardware Architect to join a startup based in Santa Clara that is developing high-performance data center accelerators for the largest generative AI models.

As part of this dynamic team, the Hardware Architect will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture for modern AI workloads and taking the chip from architectural spec all the way through to working silicon.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver performant silicon architecture at the subsystem and full-chip level.
• As the architecture is completed, contribute to shipping the product (SW/HW work on implementation, verification & validation).
• Work closely with micro-architects, designers, physical designers, verification engineers and others during definition and execution phase of the chip projects to ensure that the above architecture descriptions are capable of being implemented in silicon.
• Use SystemC models to simulate and validate architectural changes and optimize performance.

Qualifications:

• MSEE or PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering with 10+ years silicon design and architecture.
• Concept-to-silicon ownership in driving silicon architecture for key features at a subsystem and/or chip-level from an architecture specification to production silicon
• Experience writing SystemVerilog, Python, C/C++, Rust, or Bluespec and similar scripting and programming languages for chip architecture and silicon design.
• Track record of delivering innovative features and techniques in chips and systems related to ML, compute, networking, storage and related areas in shipping products
• Experience with debugging architectural issues at silicon and system level with partner teams across: design, validation, system engineering, software and field support
