Engineering Technician – Hardware / Lab Support

About the Role

We are seeking an Engineering Technician with strong hands-on hardware, troubleshooting, and lab support experience. You will build, configure, test, and maintain systems and equipment in an R&D/lab environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble hardware, flash firmware/OS, and deploy systems to test benches or racks.
• Set up, upgrade, and maintain lab equipment, testers, and benches.
• Troubleshoot system boot, connectivity, and general hardware issues.
• Execute manual/automated test plans and document results.
• Support shipping/receiving and manage hardware inventory.
• Assist engineers by reworking, repairing, and configuring equipment.
• Follow test procedures, SOPs, and maintain accurate records.

Must-Have Skills

• Experience with hardware assembly, firmware/OS flashing.
• Strong troubleshooting of system boot and connectivity issues.
• Solid deductive & inductive problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience setting up and deploying test systems in an R&D/lab environment.
• Basic understanding of electronics.
• Linux and Networking fundamentals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Technician or similar technical role.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 30 lbs .
