HVAC Shop Sheet Metal Fabricator

Location: Tacoma, Seattle, Olympia, and surrounding Puget Sound areas

Pay: $24–$34 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

We are seeking a motivated HVAC Shop Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team. In this role, you’ll support daily shop operations by fabricating ductwork, fittings, and sheet metal components while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to learn and grow in the HVAC trade.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Measure, cut, and assemble sheet metal parts and fittings.
  • Learn and perform TDC duct forming and ward flange assembly.
  • Install dampers, turning vanes, vane rails, and sound liners.
  • Fabricate shop stock (S & drive cleats, angles, curb flashing, straps).
  • Ensure quality control on all ductwork sent to the field.
  • Maintain and clean shop equipment; report repair needs.
  • Track material usage and restock as needed.
  • Learn SMACNA standards and applicable codes.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs (with assistance if needed).
  • Frequent standing, kneeling, twisting, pushing, and reaching.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).
  • Knowledge of shop equipment and sheet metal processes preferred.
  • Flexible availability, including occasional weekends or evenings.
  • Clean and neat appearance, with reliable and regular attendance.
  • Must pass:
  • Criminal background check
  • Pre-employment drug screening (includes marijuana metabolites)
  • Driving record inquiry (for any company vehicle use)

Pay & Benefits:

  • $24 – $34 per hour (based on experience).
