Indirect Category Manager

Compensation: $150–160K/year DOE

Join us as Indirect Category Manager , where you'll shape procurement strategy across a wide range of essential goods and services—supporting everything from production lines to HR operations.

This isn’t your average sourcing role. You’ll own $100M+ in spend across capital equipment, MRO, office supplies, sanitation chemicals, and professional services—all while driving innovation and maximizing ROI in a fast-paced, CPG manufacturing environment.

💼 What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop and execute category strategies that align with business needs and long-term goals
• Collaborate with internal partners from Operations, Engineering, Finance, HR, and Logistics
• Evaluate, select, and manage vendors—ensuring top-tier pricing, quality, and service
• Lead supplier negotiations and oversee contract terms with a sharp legal and commercial lens
• Drive continuous improvement through spend analysis, KPIs, and value-based sourcing
• Stay ahead of market trends and proactively address risks and opportunities
• Champion procurement’s value across the organization and expand our category influence
• Lead key initiatives such as P-Card implementation and procure-to-pay optimization

🧠 What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Supply Chain
• 5+ years of procurement experience in a CPG or food manufacturing environment
• Expertise in category management, sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and contract management
• Strong financial acumen and analytical mindset
• Advanced communication, presentation, and change leadership skills
• A strategic, curious mind that questions the status quo and seizes new value opportunities
• ERP and Microsoft Office proficiency
• Ability to travel up to 30%
