Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Indirect Tax Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will support a variety of tax compliance activities across U.S. and Canadian jurisdictions, working closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process monthly sales and use tax returns, including Canadian GST/HST filings and related payments.
  • Assist in compiling state apportionment workpapers and ensure accuracy in data reporting.
  • Support a wide range of tax compliance matters, including:
  • Sales/use tax
  • Franchise/gross receipts tax
  • Business personal property tax
  • Informational tax reporting
  • Maintain and actively manage the Tax Calendar to track filing obligations and critical due dates.
  • Collaborate with external advisors to support all aspects of the tax compliance process.
  • Respond to notices and audit inquiries from tax authorities and support indirect tax controversy matters.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Act as a point of contact for internal teams on tax-related issues and assist in resolving queries.
  • Support local teams during audits or inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Contribute to various ad-hoc tax projects as needed.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance , or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a corporate tax department or tax consultancy environment
  • Solid understanding of indirect tax principles , including U.S. sales/use tax and Canadian GST/HST
  • Experience managing tax compliance for multiple legal entities
  • Strong knowledge of tax concepts with practical, hands-on experience
  • CPA designation is a plus
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Highly organized , with strong project management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
