Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Supervisor II (Auto Chemistry) to provide technical and operational supervision across multiple laboratory functions. This role oversees core laboratory testing, workflow efficiency, quality compliance, and teammate performance , ensuring accurate and timely results reporting.

This is a licensed supervisory role reporting to the Laboratory Manager and may be assigned to evening or night shifts. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience, deep chemistry lab expertise, and a commitment to quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise laboratory operations within Auto Chemistry and Core Lab functions
• Oversee workflow from sample processing through results reporting
• Provide day-to-day guidance and performance oversight for laboratory teammates
• Monitor compliance with service guarantees, specimen quality standards, and turnaround times
• Ensure adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards
• Maintain compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and licensing requirements
• Support staffing, scheduling, and operational efficiency on assigned shifts
• Serve as a licensed technical supervisor for chemistry testing

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience as a Medical Technologist and/or Laboratory Supervisor
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, or a related field
• Florida Supervisor License in Chemistry (required)
• Professional certification from a recognized laboratory certifying agency
• Examples: ASCP, AMT

Red Flags (Do Not Submit)

• No Florida Chemistry Supervisor license
• Less than 6 years of relevant lab experience
• No professional lab certification
• Non-clinical or research-only background
