About the Role

As an Intermediate Lab Technician, you will join Airspan’s dynamic and highly experienced team, where you will be responsible for product assembly, soldering rework, and equipment operation and maintenance.

Airspan’s hardware portfolio is built for scalability and reliability, with over 50,000 5G radios and 700,000 4G radios deployed in live networks worldwide. Our solutions meet the demands of public and private networks with unmatched efficiency and performance, spanning dense urban deployments and expansive industrial applications. With proven success in Open RAN interoperability and conformance testing, Airspan continues to innovate and deliver cutting-edge wireless solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow a documented procedure to assemble and test radio products that consist of various printed circuit boards, mechanical enclosures and shields, and electrical interconnects
• Perform hand soldering of fine-pitch surface mount components utilizing microscopes and advanced rework stations
• Incorporate engineering change orders (ECOs) on PCB assemblies, ensuring accurate updates and modifications as per revised specifications
• Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring up to date calibration and accurate lab inventory
• Source, order, and organize various electronic and mechanical components, including surface mount devices, connectors, fasteners, and chassis parts. Maintain an accurate inventory of such components and establish lab organization systems

Key Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics, electrical engineering technology, or related field is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability in precision soldering
• Experience in lab management considered an assist
• Strong attention to detail, effective record-keeping, ability to communicate clearly
