Job Description

A well-established residential property in Kent, Washington is seeking an experienced Leasing Consultant to join the onsite team immediately. This is a customer-facing, sales-driven role focused on leasing, resident engagement, and maintaining strong occupancy at a professionally managed community.

Position Overview

The Leasing Consultant serves as the primary point of contact for prospective and current residents. This role is responsible for driving leasing activity, conducting tours, qualifying applicants, and supporting a smooth move-in and renewal experience. The ideal candidate is service-oriented, detail-driven, and motivated by closing deals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively prospect and generate leads through online marketing, property tours, and local outreach
  • Conduct engaging property and unit tours, highlighting community features and benefits
  • Qualify prospects by reviewing applications, credit/background checks, and references
  • Discuss and negotiate lease terms, pricing, and move-in timelines
  • Prepare and process lease documentation, deposits, and move-in paperwork
  • Deliver excellent customer service to prospects and residents, addressing questions and concerns promptly
  • Support resident retention efforts, including renewals and relationship management
  • Maintain accurate leasing records, activity logs, and reports for management
  • Ensure all leasing activities comply with local and state housing regulations

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in residential leasing or property management preferred
  • Strong sales, closing, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Customer-focused mindset with a professional, approachable demeanor
  • Familiarity with property management software and leasing systems
  • Knowledge of the local rental market is a plus

Compensation & Details

  • Hourly Rate: $25–26/hour + commission
  • Schedule: Onsite
  • Location: Kent, WA
  • Start Date: ASAP
