Job Description

Ascendo Resources is partnering with an established law firm client that is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to support a team of litigation attorneys.

This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Open and organize new case files; maintain accurate and efficient filing systems
  • Prepare, edit, and format correspondence, pleadings, discovery, and other legal documents with quick turnaround
  • Manage incoming/outgoing mail, email, and document processing within the firm’s document management system
  • Schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and client meetings; coordinate court reporters and conference rooms
  • Assist with preparing materials for meetings, hearings, and production deadlines
  • Process invoices, request checks, and handle other administrative billing tasks
  • Provide phone coverage and general administrative support for multiple attorneys
  • Manage closed files and coordinate offsite storage
  • Complete additional tasks assigned by attorneys or management

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and the full Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to type 70+ wpm
  • Familiarity with NetDocuments and Elite is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle competing priorities and work well under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Reliable, adaptable, and able to maintain confidentiality
