TITLE: Social Worker (LMSW)
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to join a reputable 150-bed hospital serving the greater Shiawassee County area. This is an excellent opportunity for a social worker with OB population experience looking for a well-supported, short-term contract assignment.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
Required :
- 2+ years of experience as a Licensed Medical Social Worker
- 1+ year of experience working with OB population
- Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
- Active Michigan LMSW License
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- COVID-19 Vaccination
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide psychosocial assessments and counseling to OB patients and families
- Support patients with discharge planning, care coordination, and community resources
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Address social, emotional, and environmental factors impacting patient care
- Advocate for patient needs and ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with hospital policies
