🚀 Machine Learning Research Scientist — San Francisco

An early-stage biotech startup is using cutting-edge ML to design proteins with life-changing potential, and we’re looking for a scientist who thrives at the intersection of theory, code, and real-world impact.

You’ll:

• Build and iterate protein language models from scratch
• Partner with lab scientists to validate discoveries in the real world
• Own your research from theory through implementation
• Help shape both the tech stack and the team’s direction

We’re looking for:

• PhD in CS, Math, Stats, or Machine Learning
• Strong publications in theoretical ML or mathematics (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, TIT, JMLR, etc.)
• Exceptional coding + math skills and a love of fast-moving, open-ended work

💰 Offer : Up to $250K + 1–1.5% equity, full health & dental, SF-based with relocation covered.
