Your main duties would be to prepare our boys for school in the morning, take them to sports practices after school and help with homework and tutoring as needed. Their laundry and light cooking (breakfast and lunch) would be part of the job. Experience with teaching/tutoring and first aid training are highly desirable. We are a bi-lingual household and fluency in Russian or willingness to learn would be a huge advantage as it would re-enforce the primary language of communication with our boys. French or Spanish would be great too - we speak them as well. Background in music would be another plus, both kids are learning to play piano and we have one at home as well as a guitar. Both of our boys ski play hockey and as a family we spend a lot of time hiking and backpacking. Because our jobs is tied to New York hours, your standard work hours would be from 5 am to 2 pm Monday through Friday, non-negotiable. Evening, weekend and travel engagements would be arranged separately. Our Juneau home is specious but over 100 years old, so while you would have your own bedroom you must be willing to share a bathroom. We are offering round trip transportation to Juneau AK, $450 a week plus room and board. There would be additional compensation for weekend, travel and evening engagements. Two weeks paid vacation a year and access to our gym membership. You must be a US citizen or have a valid work permit. Regretfully, we have been unsuccessful in obtaining a visa for candidates from Eastern Europe and South America.
