Job Description



• Recruit eligible youth for Job Corps Program.
• Conduct outreach activities in communities, agencies, American Job Centers, and public events.
• Responsible for meeting departmental and center goals and objectives.
• Conduct orientation and interview with applicants including parent in case of minors.
• Perform applicant files procedures (data entry, scan documents on e- file).
• Participate in departmental meetings.
• Coordinate with centers to support applicants in travel arrangements.
• Perform Quality Assurance Checks on all applicant files.
• Assess graduates/former trainee's placement readiness, provide appropriate referrals and accompanying support services in accordance with DOL, Center, and Equus requirements.
• Ensures timely placement and retention of assigned graduates and former enrollees in quality jobs, the military, or further education and training opportunities.
• Promotes job development through direct contact with employers, One-Stops, JTPA, and State Employment Agencies.
• Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills.
• Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property.
• Adheres to safety practices in all areas of responsibility.
• Fosters and sustains a conducive environment at the center, ensuring it remains free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect, thereby ensuring a safe space for both staff and students to engage in work and learning.
• Attends all required staff training opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned.

• above average public speaking skills and experience in same. A
• above average verbal and written skills. 
• above average problem solving and conflict resolution skills. 
• computer literacy; specifically, Internet, e-mail, and Word Perfect/MS WORD. 
• the ability to work some evening hours and periodic weekends. 
• the ability to travel periodically. 
• four years’ experience working with youths ages 16-24. 

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree. 15 Semester hours of psychology is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid State Driver’s License
