Job Title: Ocean Import Specialist

The Role

As an Ocean Import Specialist, you will play a key role in managing the end-to-end import process for ocean freight shipments. You will work closely with clients, carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure smooth and compliant operations. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage ocean import shipments from origin to final delivery
• Prepare and review import documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. Customs regulations
• Communicate with clients, carriers, and overseas agents to track and trace shipments
• Handle ISF filings, customs entries, and related documentation
• Monitor shipments and resolve any exceptions or delays
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships
• Support the wider operations team as needed

Preferred Experience & Skills

• 4+ years’ experience in ocean import operations within freight forwarding
• Strong knowledge of U.S. import regulations and documentation requirements
• Customs experience is highly desirable; a Licensed Customs Broker qualification is preferred but not a deal breaker
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency with industry systems and Microsoft Office
