PACS Administrator

Start: 3-4 weeks from date of offer

Location: Boston, MA 02114

Schedule: Onsite Mon-Fri 8-4:30. 37.5 hours per week

Length of Contract: Multiple years - potentially up to 4 years

Job responsibilities

 Participates in deploying and configuring Cardiology Syngo Dynamics

Image archival to radiology PACS VNA and other priority projects. After the go

live will be primary role for the maintaining, troubleshooting and managing Syngo

Dynamics Image Archival and ongoing migration of SFA archives.

 Daily operational support of Syngo Dynamics system and interfaces.

 Configuration and deployment of all server updates, security patches, tools, drivers,

etc.

 Monitor and administer all Syngo Dynamics - related software and technologies

including upgrades and deployments.

 Provide training and support for end users on Syngo Dynamics functionality – both

at MGH and Enterprise.

 Participate in Powershare request facilitation and new user onboarding.

 Monitor and communicate unread exams and participate in study reconciliation,

HIS/RIS verifications.

 Monitors system links, HL7 and DICOM interfaces for errors, as assigned.

 Perform project-related monitoring, cross collaboration technical support and

troubleshooting of server systems and networking.

 Manage DICOM configuration, including AE Titles, ports, and modality worklists.

 Data extraction and reports to evaluate and monitor cardiology operations.

Training

We expect initial Syngo Dynamics training to require at least 6 weeks. Will be able to act

fully independent in 6 months.

Priority projects depending on this position

 Syngo Dynamics Image archival to Radiology VNA PACS. This includes an initial

switch of archival target from SFA storage to Radiology VNA PACS while

maintaining existing SFA archives read only. By Feb 2026 our current SFA storage

will be exhausted. This project needs to go live by Q4 of 2025. The second stage

that will last several years - migration of existing SFA storage to Radiology PACS.

 Master Patient Index implementation. This is in the final stages of planning

underway now and is a pre-requisite for the next 3 projects.

 Trident Health ECHO – needs supervision, management and storage space.

 CDH and WDH Nuclear Cardiology image archival, processing and reporting with

image transfer to MGH Syngo Dynamics. Radiology VNA PACS archival is a pre-

requisite for this activity.

 NSMC Nuclear Cardiology images. This high priority long awaited project includes

switch of NSMC Nuclear Cardiology image archival, analysis and processing to

MGH Syngo Dynamics. It will also include migration of existing image archive to

MGH Syngo Dynamics and will require switch to Radiology VNA PACS first.

 BWH Nuclear Cardiology image archival, processing and reporting with image

transfer to MGH Syngo Dynamics. Radiology VNA PACS archival is a pre-

requisite for this activity. BWH will have separate department on MGH instance of

Syngo Dynamics.

 Integrated deploy of Invia Corridor 4 DM and Tomtec in Citrix. This will

revolutionize remote reporting workflow for Nuclear and ECHO reporting/image

processing

 Deploy of GE Case Cart interface for Syngo Dynamics. This will finally allow us to

avoid paper reporting and get stress test vitals into Nuclear Syngo Dynamics

reports.
