Our client is a successful, growing Collections Firm that is seeking a Paralegal to join their team. This is a newly created position as the organization continues to grow their Phoenix office. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside the Head of Legal.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Draft and file legal documents such as complaints, motions, discovery requests/responses, proofs of claim, and bankruptcy petitions.
- Conduct legal research and case law analysis to support attorneys in litigation and bankruptcy matters.
- Manage case files and deadlines across litigation, collections, and bankruptcy dockets, ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures.
- Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel , providing updates, requesting information, and coordinating hearings or depositions.
- Review and analyze financial documents (e.g., credit reports, payment histories, bankruptcy schedules) to support debt collection or bankruptcy strategies.
- Assist with trial and hearing preparation , including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and pretrial filings.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program; bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in litigation, collections, or bankruptcy law, with demonstrated knowledge of court procedures and legal terminology.
- Proficiency in legal software (e.g., Clio, Westlaw, PACER, or document management systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and communication skills , with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and interact professionally with attorneys, clients, and court personnel.
