Wasco Nursery & Garden Center is Chicagoland’s largest garden center, encompassing 8 acres of trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, herbs, and veggies. We offer full-service landscape design and installation, tree planting, and other services. Our mission is to encourage the planting of trees, shrubs, and other plants that inspire, delight, and add value to everyone, creating a more beautiful and sustainable environment for future generations. We also maintain 140 acres of high-quality nursery stock, open to the public.

This is a part-time, on-site role for a Perennial Department Manager located in St Charles, IL. The Perennial Department Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the perennial department. Tasks will include managing inventory, assisting customers with plant selection and care advice, maintaining plant health, and coordinating with the landscape design team. The manager will ensure excellent customer service and contribute to the overall aesthetic and operational goals of the nursery.

• Experience with plant care and maintenance, specifically perennials
• Knowledge of landscape design and installation
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Inventory management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting and moving plants
• Previous experience in a nursery or garden center is a plus
• Passion for horticulture and sustainable landscaping
