What are we looking for? Endless Paws Pet Sitting is a well-established, privately owned pet care company in the Toms River, NJ area looking for an experienced pet lover to add to our team of professionals. He/she will visit the homes of clients to take dogs out for exercise, give love and attention to the pets in the home, provide their meals and/or medications as needed.   The ideal person for this position understands the safety and priority of the animals in their care. He/she should be an independent and reliable self-starter with lots of energy and a passion for dogs, cats, and other small animals. What is the schedule? We offer a flexible schedule which allows our team members to work or go to school while being able to have a rewarding and exciting job. Visits are completed 7 days a week between the hours of: Morning Visit: 7am-10am Midday Visit: 11am-3pm Afternoon Visit: 4pm-6pm Evening Visit: 7pm-10pm Applicants do not need to be available for all days and times.  We ask for candidates to be open and honest about what days and times they can commit to during the interview process. What are the responsibilities?  Pet care – Walk the client's dogs or play in their fenced in yard, depending on client's preference to provide daily exercise. Give attention, love and play to the cats and dogs in the home when safe and appropriate to do so. Other services – Pick up after the animals during the walk. Feed and/or medication pets according to client instructions. Clean up any accidents or messes the pets make. Ensure the areas where pets spend their time are safe before leaving. Communicate with the animals’ owners, (according to our policies) and be aware of any medical needs observed during your time with the pet. What are some requirements?  Prior experience working with cats and dogs preferred Compassion, patience, and reliability The ability to drive to client’s homes The ability to walk, run, pull, push, bend or reach The ability to lift up to 30 pounds Capable of handling all sizes of canines from small to large Live in our service area or be willing to relocate How much can I earn? This is job is a great and fun way to earn supplemental income!  Our clients typically hire us while they are away on vacation which means some times of the year (holidays, summer, school breaks) we are VERY busy while other times we are steady.  Some clients hire us to walk and love on their dogs while they are work.  Your availability also plays a part in the answer.  We have some sitters who make $500+ a month with us while still going to school or working another job.
