Job Description

CTG is seeking a PLC Programmer to work on-site for our client in Carrollton, TX. This is a 4 month contract that could extend. **Job description** + We are currently searching for experienced Electrical Controls PLC Programmer as outlined below. + This position involves the design & development of PLC and HMI programs and the start-up & commissioning of hydraulic presses and related automation. + This position requires an individual with experience in large industrial machinery manufacturing and has been responsible for programming from scratch and commissioning in the field. **Must be able to demonstrate an ability to:** + Read schematic drawings and understand and trouble shoot electrical panels + Program modern PLC, specifically Allen Bradley Studio 5000 and Siemens Step 7 TIA platforms + HMI and SCADA programming + VFD, soft starter and servo understanding, commissioning and start up + Understanding Safety and programming safety processor for category 4 + Industrial Networks understanding and configuration such as Ethernet/IP, Profinet and Modbus TCP + Sound Knowledge of PID controller concept and tuning for motion applications + Be able to effectively communicate with customers and other technicians and use Microsoft standard products. + Understanding and practice on industrial automation control for standalone machine and automation cell/line. + Understanding of common electrical components, principles and control system + Willing to travel as part of the job. + Able to travel to, and work in other countries. + Able to work in USA/CANADA Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
