We are seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to lead our production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety at every stage.

Position Overview

The Production Manager will oversee all aspects of mattress production, from raw material sourcing to finished goods. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day plant operations, supervising production teams, optimizing schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in high-volume manufacturing, strong leadership skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations of the mattress manufacturing facility, overseeing three production lines.
• Supervise, train, and motivate production teams to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and quality control standards.
• Monitor and evaluate equipment performance; coordinate preventive maintenance as needed.
• Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, reducing waste and optimizing material use.
• Implement continuous improvement (CI) initiatives, including lean manufacturing and 5S practices.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility.
• Prepare and analyze production reports; recommend process improvements.
• Support safety initiatives, including safety training, forklift training, and SOP development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of plant or production management experience (mattress, furniture, or related manufacturing preferred).
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills a must.
• Proven record of improving manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and 5S methodology.
• Experience with OSHA compliance and safety training.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to monitor budgets, materials, and performance metrics.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with mattress manufacturing processes such as quilting, cutting, assembly, and packaging.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and production tracking software.
• TPM knowledge is a plus.
• Hands-on leadership style with a focus on operational excellence.
