Location: Chantilly, VA

Addison Group is partnering with a well-established government contractor in the engineering sector that is seeking an Administrative Assistant/Receptionist to join their team. This full-time, in-office position plays a crucial role in maintaining a polished and efficient front office environment. Job Description:

This role serves as the first point of contact for all visitors and staff, ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day front desk and office activities. Ideal candidates will bring a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a readiness to take ownership of administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist visitors, clients, and vendors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Handle incoming calls and route them appropriately
  • Manage visitor access, including sign-ins and issuing badges
  • Coordinate meeting logistics and ensure conference rooms are prepared
  • Support basic editing/proofing of internal documentation (training provided)
  • Help with administrative overflow tasks as needed across the office
  • Maintain office supply inventory and place orders as required
  • Assist with incoming/outgoing mail and courier services
  • Keep communal areas, such as kitchens, tidy and stocked
  • Provide light support on engineering documentation and templates (training provided)
  • Represent the client brand with professionalism and integrity in all interactions

Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of experience in an administrative, receptionist, or customer service role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with Adobe products is a plus
  • Salesforce experience is a bonus but not required
  • Excellent communication and multitasking skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract requirements
  • Must pass a background check and security clearance pre-screen

Additional Details:

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
  • Interview process includes a phone screen, in-person interview, personality assessment, and security clearance pre-screen
