About:
The Residential Security Agent position is assigned to an in-house protective security detail responsible for the safety and security of a family in the San Francisco Bay Area.
This is a full-time position, with benefits. The starting salary for this position is $45-50 per hour, depending on experience.
Job Duties:
The Residential Security Agent position duties include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring the overall safety and security of designated persons and properties
- Monitoring of multiple security systems for various properties to include alarms and cameras, and competently identify and then properly act on security risks
- Controlling access to properties and maintenance of security logs for guests, service personnel, and vendors
- Successfully executing existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Conducting security patrols of designated areas on foot and/or by vehicle
- Writing thorough reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
- Operating motor vehicles in a safe and legal manner
- Must have excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize competing action items
- Must be able to work under pressure with constant deadlines and changing priorities, maintaining a calm demeanor
- Must be able to handle very sensitive and highly confidential issues with diplomacy and discretion
- Must be organized, efficient, punctual, reliable, proactive self-starter with a track record of being self-motivated
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures
Minimum Qualifications: Experience, Skills, and Certifications:
- 3-5 years of relevant security experience and/or military/law enforcement experience
- Experience working with and safeguarding confidential information
- Demonstrated track record of success working in a very fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to respond and handle emergency situations
- Must be a proactive problem solver with the capability to work independently
- Must possess a good understanding of the latest technology in security camera systems, use of smartphones, communications, and collaboration apps
- Must have a BSIS guard card
- Must have a BSIS firearms permit or be able to obtain one within 6 months of employment
- Must have CPR/First Aid/AED certification, or obtain within a reasonable period
- Able and willing to follow the dress and grooming policy
- Experience working as a team player
- Must have a valid and unrestricted driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Excellent communicator with the ability to professionally and appropriately converse with all individuals encountered
- Drug free; must pass a drug screening and submit to periodic screenings throughout employment
- Must pass an extensive background check and an in-house training assessment; specific training will be provided upon hire

- Able to pass the company’s physical ability test, with or without reasonable accommodation, prior to the scheduled start date, and periodically as an employee

- Able to regularly stand, walk, sit, use hands/manual dexterity, reach, stretch, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

- Able to frequently climb or balance
- Able to occasionally run and sprint
- Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
Desired Qualifications: Experience, Skills, and Certifications:
- 5+ years of relevant security experience and/or military/law enforcement experience
- College graduate
- Formal executive protection training, provided by a government entity or a reputable private security training company
- Training in defensive tactics, counter surveillance/surveillance detection, and emergency response
- Advanced medical training (e.g., NREMT-B or NREMT-P certified)
