Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality outpatient cardiovascular nursing care using evidence-based practice
• Perform patient assessments, interviews, and review medical history and medications
• Support cardiac diagnostics including stress testing and cardiopulmonary monitoring
• Perform IV insertions and administer IV medications as ordered
• Monitor telemetry, vital signs, and patient responses during diagnostic testing or rehab sessions
• Respond to emergency situations following ACLS protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on cardiovascular disease, risk factors, and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
• Support quality improvement initiatives and patient safety standards

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Key skills; Strong IV skills required
• Critical care or cardiac experience highly preferred
• BLS required; ACLS required or obtainable upon hire
• Strong clinical judgment, independence, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Outpatient cardiac diagnostics and cardiac rehabilitation setting
• Daytime schedule with excellent work–life balance
• Independent, fast-paced clinical environment
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Licensure & Certifications (required upon hire):
• Active RN License (Single-State of Georgia or Compact)
• BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience OR 2 years of cardiac nursing experience
• Ability to work night shift (for this specific role)
• Ability to deliver individualized care in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Commitment to Hospital care standards, safety policies, and code of conduct
