Milano Creative Catering isn’t your typical catering company—we’re a mobile, design-forward team that creates standout events across the Columbus Metro Area. We’re looking for an experienced Catering Sales Manager who’s ready to grow beyond a single venue and take their skills to a more creative, flexible stage.

🎯 What You’ll Do:

  • Drive new catering sales by building relationships with clients and venues across the region
  • Manage inquiries, proposals, tastings, and event planning in collaboration with our creative and culinary teams
  • Develop partnerships with multiple venues, corporate clients, and event planners
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals
  • Represent the Milano brand with professionalism, polish, and a little flair

  • 3+ years in catering or hospitality sales & territory management
  • Existing relationships in the Columbus event or venue scene a strong plus
  • Highly organized with strong communication and follow-up skills
  • Comfortable selling to both corporate and social clients

  • Base Salary – Competitive, based on experience
  • Commission – Uncapped commissions on event sales (typically 3–5%)

📋 Duties:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve catering goals.
  • Manage territory operations, ensuring efficient service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Lead direct sales efforts, engaging with potential clients to promote catering services.
  • Train and mentor junior staff in sales techniques, customer service excellence, and product knowledge.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients to secure profitable catering agreements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new business opportunities through outside sales efforts.
  • Effectively attain assigned sales and revenue goals
  • Complete a yearly marketing plan and follow through with a monthly sales action plan.

  • Proven experience in territory management within the catering or hospitality industry.
  • Strong background in direct sales, with demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Excellent sales management skills, including experience in upselling services.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
  • Familiarity with technology sales is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
