Senior Estimator – Industrial Manufacturing

Position Summary

We Seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to analyze project requirements and develop accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and production resources. This role ensures financial feasibility, supports competitive bids, and contributes to overall project success.

This role would be remote for someone with direct estimating experience within gear manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates by reviewing project specs, drawings, and technical documents.
• Evaluate project feasibility, risks, and profitability.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, project management, purchasing, manufacturing, and customers to gather required data.
• Leverage historical data and productivity metrics to support accurate estimating and maintain organized cost records.
• Provide technical guidance to junior estimators and project team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial management, business, or related field (or equivalent industry experience).
• 5+ years of experience estimating industrial gears and gear-drive systems.
• Strong understanding of estimating methods, engineering principles, and applied math.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Leadership experience required.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation.
