Job Summary

As a Sr Business Intelligence Analyst at Ignyte Insurance Group, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the specialty insurance industry. Your analytical insights will directly impact our top-line production, operational efficiencies, and underwriting profitability. Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner directly with business leaders across operations, marketing, and executive teams to uncover needs, clarify objectives, and shape data-driven recommendations.
  • Analysis & Storytelling: Conduct root cause analysis, uncover performance trends, and communicate “the why” behind business outcomes through compelling dashboards, reports, and executive-ready presentations.
  • Dashboards & Reporting: Build and enhance self-service BI tools in Power BI; maintain and improve data visualizations tailored for decision-makers.
  • SQL Mastery: Write complex queries to extract, transform, and analyze structured data across multiple systems.
  • Excel Expertise: Create and manage Excel-based models for scenario planning, performance tracking, and reconciliation.
  • Data Governance: Identify data quality issues, define data logic standards, and collaborate with engineering resources to resolve data-related concerns.
  • Proactive Trend Detection: Surface patterns in marketing response, sales conversions, call center productivity, or operational KPIs before they’re obvious.
  • Continuous Improvement: Advocate for best practices in data visualization, data hygiene, and user engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors-degree in Data Analysis, Statistics, Finance, or other relevant analytical degree.
  • 5+ years of experience utilizing SQL.
  • 5+ years of experience utilizing data visualization tools such as Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, etc.
  • 5+ years of providing analytical insights and developing summary decks to business stakeholders.
  • 3+ years of experience developing ETL pipelines.
  • Advanced understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
  • Data Analysis & Trending experience with demonstrated proficiency in analytical methodologies, tools, and dashboard development to interpret, visualize, simplify and present/communicate data, analyses, results and findings.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to work independently to prioritize workload and handle multiple responsibilities, deadlines, etc.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
  • High attention to detail to identify, evaluate and resolve data quality issues and reasonability check analytical results.
  • Thrives in a team-oriented, results-driven environment.
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with senior officials across the organization.
  • Excellent oral presentation and written communication skills.

Preferred

  • Insurance industry experience.
  • Exposure to Azure technology stack.
  • Exposure to statistical languages such as R/Python.
