Job Title: Structural Welder – Local Shipyard

Location: Pascagoula, Mississippi

Pay Rate: $26.00 – $28.00 per hour (based on experience)
$1,000 sign-on bonus offered*
40 hours of accrued PTO*

Job Summary
We are seeking experienced 1st Class Structural Welders to join our team at a local shipyard. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of 1st Class shipyard welding experience, with proven skills in ceramic tape welding and gouging techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality structural welding on ship components in accordance with blueprints and project specifications.

• Utilize ceramic tape welding methods to achieve precision and durability in welds.

• Execute gouging operations safely and effectively to prepare or repair metal surfaces.

• Inspect and maintain welding equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

• Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines and quality requirements.

• Follow all shipyard safety protocols and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of 1st Class structural welding experience in a shipyard environment.

• Proficient in ceramic tape welding and gouging techniques.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.

• Must pass a weld test prior to employment.

• Ability to work in varying positions (standing, crouching, overhead) and lift up to 50 lbs.
