Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Supply Planner to join our team in Warminster, PA. This role is responsible for ensuring optimal inventory availability and efficient supply planning of finished bathroom renovation products. The ideal candidate will coordinate closely with onshore and offshore suppliers, internal stakeholders, and logistics teams to support demand fulfillment, meet customer expectations, and optimize working capital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute supply plans for finished goods based on sales forecasts, historical demand, and inventory targets.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Collaborate daily with offshore suppliers (primarily Asia) to ensure timely order placement, production, and shipment.
  • Manage purchase orders, shipment schedules, and lead time to maintain accurate system records.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and monitor their performance.
  • Work closely with procurement, logistics, warehouse, and sales teams to coordinate inbound flow and mitigate supply disruptions.
  • Maintain item planning parameters (lead times, safety stocks, reorder points) in ERP/MRP systems e.g. SAGE, SAP etc.
  • Analyze supply performance and provide regular reports on key metrics including fill rate, product availability, on-time delivery, inventory turns, backorder and forecast accuracy.
  • Support new product launches by aligning supply plans with marketing and production readiness.
  • Identify and drive process improvements in supply planning and communication with suppliers.
  • Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential disruptions in the supply chain.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with various departments and suppliers.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and propose solutions quickly.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with inventory management systems and supply chain software.
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of market trends and business operations.

Education and Experience:

  • Previous experience in supply chain management or a related role is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Operations, or a related field.
  • APICS/ASCM certification or coursework is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in supply or production planning, preferably with finished consumer goods.
  • Experience working with international/offshore suppliers.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, SAGE, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Warminster, PA 5 days a week.
  • Background in building products, home improvement, or bathroom renovation industry is plus.
