Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Transportation Associate to support key logistics operations, including claims processing, SOX compliance, and freight payment functions. In this role, you’ll work closely with transportation analysts, freight carriers, auditing partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement in our transportation processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end processing of freight claims in compliance with company policies and carrier agreements.
• Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance across all transportation-related functions and documentation.
• Oversee freight payment and audit processes, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation.
• Collaborate with third-party freight payment and post-audit companies to resolve discrepancies and streamline processes.
• Partner with internal departments and transportation analysts to identify and address root causes of issues.
• Utilize critical thinking and data analysis to drive problem-solving and operational improvements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the transportation function.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on root cause analysis and corrective action.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills , with experience working cross-functionally.
• Working knowledge of freight payment systems, transportation audit procedures, and SOX compliance requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other transportation/logistics systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in continuous improvement methodologies .
• Experience working with third-party freight audit and payment providers.
• Familiarity with ERP or TMS platforms.
