Job Description

Our client, a growing employee benefits consulting and brokerage firm, is seeking a junior-level Graphic Designer for a temporary contract to assist the design & communication team. The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-oriented, corporate, team environment is an important component of this position. This role will last 3-4 months while they enter a busy season of their business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create communication materials (benefit guidebooks, flyers, etc.) for clients using a library of InDesign templates, incorporating client-specific customizations
  • Build and update electronic communication resources for clients
  • Ensure brand consistency across multiple communications
  • Support internal staff’s communication needs such as presentation and document editing
  • Design PowerPoint templates
  • Review materials to ensure accuracy
  • Manage high volume of work to meet time-sensitive client deadlines

Skill requirements:

  • Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically InDesign)
  • Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of and efficiency in designing for both print and web
  • Understanding of print, digital and interactive design principles, techniques and best practices
  • Strong knowledge of typographic hierarchy
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to multi-task effectively
  • Detail-oriented with excellent editing and quality review skills
  • Reliable team player who also has the ability to work well independently
  • A Certification or Degree in Graphic Design or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of the employee benefit business is desirable but not required
