Job Summary:
As a drafter at Architectural Louvers, you will provide our customers with an accurate drawing representation of our louvers and related products. This is utilized as part of the submittal process to Architects and requires evaluation of the building plans and specifications for dimensions, fit, and function. In addition, you will provide the manufacturing plant with drawings for sawing, punching, and assembly of our products. Drawings are created using computer-aided-design (CAD) software in 2D. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail oriented, and reliable. Work hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Due to extensive coordination between office and production, this position is on location only (no remote work).
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Answer customer inquiries
· Review construction documents for order accuracy
· Create detailed submittal drawings with computer-aided design (CAD) software
· Prepare and complete documentation packages for engineers and architects
· Coordinate between production and office staff
· Verify drawing and production order accuracy
· Create manuals that describe existing products’ design, dimensions, and construction.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Proven work experience as a Drafter or similar role
· Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
· Good math skills
· Ability to meet deadlines
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Education and Experience:
Associates degree in drafting or design preferred
Two years related experience preferred
