Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Commercial Interior Designer. The position is located in Irvine, CA. The Commercial Interior Designer will be responsible to collaborate with the team on multiple projects in all phases of work:

• Field Survey and CAD documentation
• Drafting
• Develop Pricing Plans
• Product / Material Research
• Develop Finish Schemes
• Design Development and Presentations
• Develop Construction Documents
• City Submittal and liaising with government agency personnel
• Coordination with consulting engineers
• Assist with reviewing submittals and RFIs
• Attend client and construction meetings
• Attend Punch Walks and prepare project close out documents
• Specifying FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment).

Candidate Requirements:

• 1 to 3+ year design firm experience
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow multi-step instructions / directions
• Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
• Knowledge of design phases from Programming, Space Plan, Pricing Plan, Design Development, Material and Finish Selection, Construction Documents, Government Agency Submittal, Construction Administration
• Graphic and presentation skills to effectively communicate design intent
• Professional Bachelor's degree or higher in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited University program
