Akkodis is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer for our client in Addison TX

Cyber Security Engineer

Location: Addison TX

Duration: 3 Months to Hire

Compensation:

• Pay Rate: $60-70/hr

• Salary at conversion: $130-140K

LOCATION DETAILS:

• Open to Remote

• Preference is a local 3 days a week hybrid onsite Addison office

• Travel is required if they are remote, to start every other month to Dallas for 3-4 business days. after that twice a year at most.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Project Scope/Details/Responsibilities -

• TOP REQUIRED SKILLS:

o Seniority Level/Target years of experience - minimum of 3-5+ years in a SIEM engineering environment

o Top 3-5 Technical Skills TOP PRIORITY AT TOP OF LIST) –

 MUST have detection engineering. The Detection Engineering team writes rules, but this engineer should understand the rule creation process

 This comes with an analytical mindset and strategy when thinking about the SOC space the last 18 months to the next 18th months for example)

 This is 60-70% of their day job

 SIEM Engineering experience (HIHGLY prefer with Splunk)

 They will be the only SME on this team for SIEM engineering

 Must understand how SIEM platforms work

 Should be able to ingest log sources, ensure visibility, and write queries

 SOAR: Experience with Google SOAR+ is highly preferred

 Scripting: Familiarity with Python and/or
