Job Description

NOVA Engineering and Environmental is seeking an Environmental Engineer / Geologist / Scientist for our Pensacola, FL office.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. This candidate can be an Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist with due diligence experience. This position offers excellent pay, commensurate with experience and tremendous benefits package. Duties:

• Perform Environmental field activities including: following safety protocols, travel to and from site, sample collection, equipment calibration, observations and/or monitoring, working with others and/or sub-contractors, and documentation
• Preparing and executing reports and other client correspondence
• Providing oversight, QA/QC, analysis, laboratory testing and field services as required to meet our Clients’ expectations

Requirements:

• Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology/Geoscience, Chemistry, Biology/Ecology, Natural Resources or Environmental Sciences Degree is required
• 2 – 5+ experience with environmental projects

Preferred:

• Engineering Intern (E.I.) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Geologist in Training (G.I.T) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) or Advanced Degrees are preferred but not mandatory
• Experience with Phase I/II Site Assessments and other due diligence projects
• Groundwater and Soil Sampling experience
• Familiarity with FDEP SOPs
• Asbestos Inspector Accreditation preferred
• Lead Based Paint Inspector License preferred
• Florida Mold Assessor License preferred
• Experience with NEPA and/or Threatened/Endangered Species Surveys and/or Wetland Delineation
• Experience with Threatened/Endangered Species Surveys, Wetland Delineation
