Title: Internal Auditor

Location : Dallas, TX

Duration: 6+ months with possible extension

Rate : $50/hr to $80/hr on W2

Responsibilities:

• Lead engagement planning activities for a wide range of complex internal audits, special projects, and department-wide initiatives.
• Conduct comprehensive testing in support of internal audits; document procedures and results in accordance with established standards and methodologies. Identify control gaps and ineffective processes.
• Coordinate fact-checking with auditees and ensure audit workpapers are accurate, clear, and properly documented.
• Develop detailed internal audit engagement budgets, track actual hours against budget, and highlight any variances.
• Communicate audit findings and issues to the audit team in a timely manner. Assist in the evaluation and communication of audit results.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing performance feedback and promoting professional development. Actively seek and offer upward feedback.
• Uphold the firm’s standards of integrity, professionalism, and respect in all work interactions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in internal or external audit, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience.
• Background in IT, operational, or financial auditing, or risk management.
• Strong understanding of risks and internal control frameworks.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CPA, or CIA are preferred.
