Job Description: Medical Physicist

Salary: $174,000 - $254,000 annually

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide expertise in medical physics within a clinical environment, ensuring optimal application of therapy physics.
• Conduct quality assurance procedures and performance evaluations on radiological equipment.
• Collaborate with clinical teams for patient treatment planning and delivery.
• Participate in the development and implementation of safety protocols.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in medical technologies and treatments.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior staff and interns in the field of medical physics.
• Perform regular assessments and audits of equipment and treatment processes.
• Document and report findings in accordance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure compliance with national and local safety regulations.
• Work with stakeholders to enhance patient care and treatment outcomes.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution in medical physics or a related field.
• ABR/CCPM Board certification or Board eligible in therapy physics.

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a clinical setting.
• Maximum of 1 year of relevant experience is acceptable.

Skills:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional evening or weekend hours.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality assurance in medical physics practices.
